Frequently Asked Questions About Baby Swimming Lessons in St Albans
What age can my baby start swimming lessons?
Babies can start lessons from 3 months old. As long as you and your baby are both healthy, it’s safe to begin whenever you’re ready.
Do I need to be a good swimmer to join?
Not at all. You’ll always be holding or supporting your baby, and our instructors will guide you through everything step by step.
How warm is the pool?
Our St Albans pool is kept at a comfortable, baby-friendly temperature to make sure little ones feel cosy in the water.
What do babies need to wear?
We ask all babies to wear a swim nappy, plus a snug swim costume or happy nappy on top. This keeps things safe and hygienic for everyone.
Will my baby actually learn to swim?
At this stage it’s more about water confidence, movement, and fun. Over time, the activities and skills we teach lay the foundations for independent swimming as your child grows.
Can both parents come along?
Yes – we welcome parents, carers, or grandparents to join in. Baby swimming is as much about bonding as it is about learning!
